Innov8ors cohort 2 launch presented to community leaders
Eleven (11) entrepreneurs have been introduced at the Launch of Innov8ors cohort 2 which has taken place on Friday 28th May at CQU Gladstone Campus.
Cohort 2 is the second intake of the Innov8ors program, a 24-week training, mentoring and development program designed to accelerate good innovations from concept to commercialisation.
After the success of cohort 1 leading to 3 out of 8 participants showing great potential to reach market, and one of them being at early commercialisation stage.
The event was officially opened by Gladstone Regional Council’s Mayor Matt Burnett and the Welcome to Country has been provided by Gooreng Gooreng Elder Richard Johnson.
Innov8ors cohort 2 presents a wide spectrum of innovation categories including two (2) from civil construction, three (3) regarding sustainability, one (1) hydrogen-related and, five (5) with social impact (indigenous, women and youth).
“Due to the high calibre of cohort 2 applications, we had to increase our programme to eleven (11) participants” Startup Gladstone Ecosystem Builder’s and Innov8tor program leader Luis Arroyo has stated.
